The anime centers around the titular Ekoda, who works various jobs, and explores the city nightlife. While she has a boyfriend, she is more into casual relationships than taking it seriously. She considers popular girls (which she labels "birds of prey") her natural enemy.

Each episode is also split into different segments, with the first 3 and a half minutes of the animated show, followed by live-action interviews with the creators, and then showing the drawing of the short.
